Bridges and Motorways to be Free of Charge during the 9-Day Ramadan Eid Holiday

Free Bridges and Highways
According to the statement made by Minister of Transportation Abdülkadir Uraloğlu, bridges and highways owned by the General Directorate of Highways will be free of charge during the Eid holiday. Minister Uraloğlu stated that this practice, which will be valid during the 9-day holiday, will be carried out by excluding the roads operated with the Build-Operate-Transfer model. In this context, the July 15 Martyrs' Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge will be free of charge starting from 00.00 on Friday night, April 5, until 23.59 on Sunday night, April 14.
Roads Built with Build-Operate-Transfer Project Tolled
During the holiday, some roads and bridges built under the Build-Operate-Transfer model will continue to be tolled. These roads include Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge, Northern Marmara Motorway, Osmangazi Bridge, Istanbul-Izmir Motorway, 1915 Çanakkale Bridge and connecting motorway, Ankara-Nigde Motorway, Menemen-Aliağa-Çandarlı Motorway, Aydın-Denizli Motorway and Eurasia Tunnel. Drivers who will pass through these routes during the holiday will need to be ready to pay the tolls.
