A new feature is coming for Istanbulites to use public transportation. The classic Istanbulkart is becoming private. Users will now be able to customize their anonymous cards and make them their own. They will also be able to use these personalized cards in IBB's campaigns outside of transportation. The deadline for the completion of Istanbulkart personalization is December 31, 2022. In order to use public transportation free of charge and benefit from campaigns during national and religious holidays, the cards must be personalized. After December 31, 2022, that is, in the new year, it becomes mandatory. So how and where can you personalize these cards?
How and Where to Personalize Istanbulkart?
In order to enable personalization on Istanbulkarts, you first need to log in to Istanbulkart Mobile. If you are not logged in, you can register for free. Your card will be personalized after you follow the necessary instructions by adding your own card to the application from the My cards option at the bottom of the home page.

So which Istanbulkarts should be personalized?
We know that there are many types of Istanbulkart. The personalized cards are as follows: Blue Card, Social Support Cards, Personnel Card (PDKS), Digital Istanbulkart, Student Card. Apart from these, there are also Anonymous Istanbulkarts, which you can buy for a certain fee from card-loading machines or points of sale. These cards, which do not have a name on them and are not assigned to a user, must be personalized by 31 December 2022.
